Not Your Typical Wedding March

Couples all over the world squeeze their brains (and wallets) trying to beat each other in holding the most romantic and memorable weddings. Who knew that the idea could actually be so simple?

Watch this and you'll see what I mean:

Now THIS kinda wedding makes me wanna get married right away. Or just hit the club. I wish there were "happy" clubs around, where the crowds are less hostile-cool and more fun.

I hope their marriage lasts forever blissfully!

Final Fantasy Memories

A friend sent me a few links to YouTube video clips of Final Fantasy XII. Although I have never played FFXII before, watching those videos does bring back the feeling of playing Final Fantasy VIII, X, and X-2. It feels something like following a really good TV series, only much more involved - like you're living in the story. I suppose that's the whole idea of a role-playing game.

I know this is gonna make me sound really dorky, but I miss those days when I was playing FF. Everyday, I looked forward to go home from school and continue my FF adventure. Every new discovery brought awe, happy event joy, and sad event sorrow. And every time a game was completed, I suffered serious withdrawal symptoms. I know... I'm such a geek.

Anyways. Here're some ending videos of FFVIII, FFX-2 and FFXII. Enjoy!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Yes, I did manage to drag myself to the cinema last Saturday, and I did watch the movie, albeit in a state of wooziness, like it was all a dream.

But I still enjoyed the movie, nonetheless. Yes, enjoyed. Despite all the negative feedback about the movie, I actually like it. Here are the movie's misses that most people harp on:
  1. Lack of fighting scene
  2. Lack of explanation on plots
  3. Missing plots from book
  4. Too much romance
  5. Too dark
Honestly? I think the movie's plus points far outweight the above "gripes" (quotation marks because not all of which, I agree upon). Here are, in my humble opinion, the hits of the movie:

(1) Exciting start scenes.

(2) Most of Ron Weasley's scenes. That Rupert Grint can act!

(3) More focus on Death-Eaters - everything about them is so cool!
For instance:

Their black-smoke apparating trail...

Their evil wailings...

The way they hold their wands...

The Dark Mark...

The Unbreakable Vow (not exactly a Death-Eater thing, but they just made it look so cool)...

(4) Darker and more grown-up settings in the movie - it's no longer a movie about a bunch of innocent school kids. Even Quidditch got so much more badass.

Quidditch then...
Quidditch now...Me likes.

(5) And lastly, Luna Lovegood's hair.

What?! It WAS beautiful!...

Conclusion: 4 stars out of 5

The Bulu Ketiak Thing

Was chatting with Momok on MSN:

[some conversation in between]

Glossary: cabut bulu ketiak = pulling out armpit hair

Rediscovering Warmth and Kindness

When someone is subjected to prolonged lack of warmth and kindness, he/she tends to forget how it feels to be shown warmth and kindness - to the point that when someone else shows just a very small act of kindness towards him/her, he/she will feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

For me, the gratitude came with a sense of guilt - guilty for not caring for others as others have towards me, as I realise at times of my own neediness.

Sure, I have been utterly disappointed before. But I should know that that is no reason to stop caring altogether. It is, however, a reason to care wisely.

People whom I have only known within the last couple of years have shown concern over my well-being much more than those I used to claim were my friends for 6 years. This further validates my decision of setting myself free from the malicious network I called my social circle and embracing a fresh new start, despite it being one from scratch.

Sick of Being Sick

I've been sick since last Friday. Bloody hell. This sickness would better get the hell better by tomorrow and not ruin my much awaited Harry Potter 6 movie date with colleagues.

Life sucks ass when you're alone and sick.

Hot Body

Tiffany and I were chatting about our fevers:

kaioucat: so should i take a cold shower?
Tiffany: just try make urself more comfortable..
kaioucat: and turn on my ac?
Tiffany: eh.. if very hot, take a cold shower and towel dry.
kaioucat: i feel cold but my body is hot
kaioucat: ...
kaioucat: as in temperature hot...not attractive hot LOL

Why won't these symptoms all come at once? I'd be visiting the doctor for the THIRD time tomorrow! (First time was for cough, second time was for flu).

kaioucat is Sick...of Medicine

I like the taste of cough mixtures. Am I weird?

I'll be on MC leave again tomorrow...this is a really long weekend for me (was on MC on Friday too), but one where I am stuck at home!

The bright side? It could be worse - could've been A(H1N1). So...let's just be thankful.

P/S: The doctor was cute (as predicted).

Durty Nelly's & Novus

These are pictures taken last Friday evening at a night out with colleagues after work. Our first stop was Durty Nelly's Irish Pub @ Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square.

Durty Nelly's Irish Pub @ Raffles Boulevard, Marina Square.

Clockwise from Top: Lychee-tini, Chocolate Mint Martini, Lychee-tini, Fresh Fruit Martini (Mango), Fresh Fruit Martini (Mango). These were all 1-for-1 during Happy Hours (mid-afternoon till 8pm)

Slightly after 8:30pm, the live band began and it became too loud for us to hear each other (plus, the band wasn't so good). So we hopped to our second bar - Novus @ Stamford Road, National Museum of Singapore. They had this promotion going on and I took the Novus Cider and Juicy Julio. Novus Cider was really refreshing, unanimously liked by everyone who tasted it that night, but Juicy Julio was a disappointment as it tasted like medicine. The black pepper chips was good too (can't stop eating it after I took the first piece!).

Blogger Lost a Coupla Screws

I can't seem to upload any images into my blog posts, unless I go the manual way (i.e. using a third-party image hosting website). I've been googling for solutions but there appears to be none. Apparently I am not the only one facing the problem. Some of them had the problem automatically resolved after a week or so. Maybe I'll have to wait for a week to see if it resolves by itself.

I do, in fact, have a few photos to post. But until Blogger finds those lost screws, I'll just stick to wordy posts. Sigh.

P/S: Check out my South Park avatar at the sidebar. Click on it make your own!
